The sun rising in Southern Victoria. The sky has grey clouds that have been turned red and orange in the sun's light. Away on the horizon a homestead has chickens that are starting to herald the day with the roosters crowing breaking the quiet and stillness. Just above the horizon there is light appearing to give the space under the clouds a yellow colour. When at the bottom of Australia the sun rises over the land which is so different to where I live. Imagine a clock with you standing at six o'clock and the arc of the sun goes from three o'clock to nine o'clock. I live at three o'clock in Australia so the sun rises over the sea but standing at six o'clock the sun appears over the land. When viewing sunrises like this can't help thinking that I am a long way from home. Cue the laughter my friend.

Interesting cloud formations above the ocean late afternoon as I am looking out to the ocean. The clouds are white through to greys. The sky is dark blue to light blue. The waves are small adding to the quiet feeling. There's a breakwall on the right side going out into the ocean and a tree on the other side beside me as I am taking the photo.
It is late afternoon and a lone surfer with his surfboard under his arm walks along the beach towards home. A headland is behind the surfer and there is an island further out to sea. The waves are breaking on the beach with cloud formations above. The sun is setting opposite to the ocean with the last light illuminating the clouds in the centre. The beach has a feeling of the day is done.
Just before sunrise clouds have turned orange and red. In the foreground are paddocks going back to hills on the horizon with clouds above to the top of the photo. Just above the horizon there is signs of the rising sun with a light yellow colour. Darkness still lingers on the hills down to the paddocks.

The two photos are linked together to capture a big landscape after the sun has set. The mountains are surrounding a massive valley. The colours are soft as darkness is slowly bringing on the night. Just above the horizon there is a light orange ring underneath a layer of clouds. The clouds have a light blue colour turning to grey. Above the clouds the sky is a light blue.

Twilight at a place called Tooraweenah. The sun has set and has illuminated clouds above the horizon. There a rich range of colours of red, orange, yellow and grey with the clouds towards the top of the photo turning a darker grey as the sun's light leaves them. The farmland in the foreground has already succumbed to the night. I am standing between trees with branches and leaves bordering the sides.

This photo is of rain clouds moving across the landscape. There is only farmland surrounding us so rain is always appreciated. The clouds are dark on top with lighter greys towards the ground. There is trees in the photo that no doubt can smell the rain and wait in anticipation.

This is a lady standing at the edge of the water. An island in the background and great cloud formations above. Wind is blowing but the sun is giving warmth. The waves are covering her feet with the sensation of water and sand running over her feet. She seems lost in her thoughts. So we must ask...a penny for your thoughts ?
