This is a flyer for a show called “the first Jew in Canada: a trans tale“ written and performed by S. Bear Bergman. The show will be performed on November 2, 2025 at 40 Berkeley St. in Boston at 5 PM. There’s a QR code for more information and notes that it will be interpreted into ASL.

Parents of trans kids in states and provinces where anti-trans policies and laws have been adopted and those who live in 'safe places for now but fear this changing are understandably very concerned about the safety and wellbeing of their kids. Anti-trans laws and policies are not supported by evidence but they signal to the public that transgender kids are an appropriate target for hostility and exclusion. Scholarly research indicates that best practices for the well-being of transgender kids (and cisgender kids too) include the right of all children to gender self-determination, the importance of family support and advocacy, the appropriateness of institutional support and inclusion, and access to affirming healthcare for kids who need it. The purpose of this webinar is to provide parents of trans kids with resources to help you understand the current political moment and support and advocate for your kids.
