Another fantastic tool to visualize loading waterfalls and trace JS perf back in the web 2.0 days was called "dynaTrace AJAX Edition" (with multiple versions released). It was the groundwork for what became today's @dynatrace.bsky.social: www.stevesouders.com/blog/2009/09... /cc @deadparrot.dev

Look at that! I wasn't part of Dynatrace at that time but it was surely known well around here ;-) The people who implemented this and promoted it are still with the company. Some of them created keptn.sh/stable/

If you’re going back that far you’ve got to include Pat Meenan’s Page Test, the IE based waterfall capturer / viewer he built at AOL And there was also one from IBM too @stoyan.org might remember what it was called
