Maybe it's not the fastness that lowers the conversion rate, but something else, like maybe the fastest websites are more likely to have not-so-great design?

We’ve found several reasons for this including bots, sessions that strictly browse (no checkout pages), error pages, thumbnail previews, and more.

I'm.not sure I'm understanding - the conversion rate here means... How many conversions you get out of a website with the given metric performance?
