“Transwomen” (deliberately omitting the space) is a British dog whistle. The idea is to make “transwomen” a single word to distinguish it from the word “women”. In creating a new noun, they’ve forgotten that trans is, in fact, adjective, meaning trans women are a subcategory of women.
