I recently learned that a local park has loads of these Parakeets. Apparently, they're all over the UK now. You can hear them before you see them. They are very cool-looking birds. Almost don't look like they belong in a freezing cold country! #photography #BirdPhotography

I heard one screech-tweeting near our home in Worcestershire UK and panicked thinking some poor tropical pet had escaped and needed rescuing. It’s in those trees for the past 5 months now, happily screeching away most evenings. The RSPB says the Ring-necked Parakeet is naturalised to the UK.

They're all over Europe these days. I've seen them in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain.
