About that logo… Haha :-) Back when we first launched SplutterfFsh, we were pushing to the release of the early alpha/beta version of our software, and needed a quick website. I was building that site, and needed a placeholder for a logo that didn’t exist yet. I literally scribbled that fish-bones logo without any plan to reuse it, or without even running the idea past the other partners. We were hyper focused on the software itself, and super slammed getting it out. The website (pretty much an afterthought) went live the day of the release and I had forgotten to go back and fix that logo. It was still on the webpage. The next morning, when we got up, dozens of artists from all over the world were sharing all these amazing , beautiful images, rendered in this initial version of one of the first, production quality, freely available global illumination and raytrace renderers — and a huge number of those had burned this crappy fishbone logo onto their pictures! Me: *mortified!* It was popular, *sigh*, so we leaned into it. As I recall, the phone was already blowing up and people were trying to get meetings with us from that first day - so we needed business cards, now. So, fishbones. The logo soon underwent a facelift, got balanced out, and later was given a modified shark tail. #startuplife
