Okay, I might be misreading, but those seem like two seperate but equally daft complaints. 1. I never realised something that was mentioned several times and was plot relevant at least once. 2. I didn't know a thing until the show told me a thing.

... Which storylines were trying to "teach" the audience something? Like I know TV shows can do several things at once but I can't think of a single Gatwa-era story where "teaching" was the sole point of an episode (rather than scares or intrigue or comedy etc)
