Dave Winer @scripting.com · Feb 15 it seems i've been suspended from twitter for copyright violation. they also ask for all kinds of id's and phone numbers. i think this may be it for me at twitter. i wasn't using it very much anyway. ;-)

A search for "bogus copyright violation notices" turns up an awful lot of hits.
More info, my twitter account has been taken over. I can’t log in or change the password. The account should be turned off until this can be fixed.

My first impulse is to say that I'm sorry to hear it happened. But after further thought, I think that dialog now sounds like something twitter might have said to you. Prescient. Good riddance I say.
I got banned from twitter for abusing an actual nazi. My fb account got nuked for criticising Israel.
Thanks for letting us know. My mind can't help but wonder if the right-wingers are simply trying to remove alternative thoughts from twitter altogether. Anyone can complain and if you have to provide all your personal info to respond, there's not a lot of point in fighting. Glad to know in advance
