Follow-up on this. Back then I contacted Discord's customer service and told them I do not have to and will not send them my ID. They said oh yeah it's an error but please send us your ID. I didn't. Today I got this. THIS is why it's utterly stupid to send anyone your ID or any other secure data.

the age verification thing seems like just a general data harvesting thing that has rolled out everywhere and the laws are just there as an excuse. ppl aren't angry enough about it for corpos & govt to roll back
Are you in the UK? I believe they made age verification mandatory there because of the "Online Safety Act" support.discord.com/hc/en-us/art...
