You can now change Scryfall's default for what print is displayed when viewing cards. That's available in your user preferences: scryfall.com/settings/pre...

Regarding search preferences, why is it that "extras" has "auto, always, never", but the other three categories don't have the "always" option?

This is great! There's some weird behavior where the "oldest" version in a set is often but not always some borderless/extended print - is that intentional? I would think the default main set print should count as oldest (if nothing else, same release date but lower CN).

Are there any plans to expand the display options? scryfall.com/search?q=set... I'd love for this search to display the non-foil versions but because the foil prints are first in order those are shown instead. Something like `prefer:nonfoil` would be great for cases like this.

Thank you for this, I hate seeing random UB arts I don't recognize when doing searches.

Alejandro Cremades · Dec 24

Wow! I've been bloating my searches forever with `prefer:oldest`. This saves me a lot of typing. Thank you!

This is beautiful.

• This affects your searches, and has no relation to viewing set pages. • If your search specifies a particular prefer: behaviour, it will override this setting. • This also doesn't apply when viewing unique:prints.
