Duolingo seems to use ever so slightly different fonts for their prompt and response text and I've never noticed before. 八 here just looks like ハ in katakana for some reason?

It goes deeper. The same thing happened when I wrote this post! Is there actually some distinction when writing this kanji that I'm unaware of or is it just a font quirk? Why would blue sky use different fonts for this though?
