In 2006 and 2007, my grandma lost four mature Elm trees and a Black Walnut, totally changing the look of her house and yard. (Now my house and yard.) The front got replanted in 2008 and 2013, and I planted a new Maple in back in 2013. Here's how it's recovered since 2008!

Hurts to see it! Of course I wish I still had these 1950 trees, but a good reminder that the only thing to do is just to... start all over again.
