SongSelect, a popular source for licensing music for church services used to, if a song was in say D mixolydian, write out the lead sheet or score as if it were in D major. Extremely ridiculously confusing. They finally fixed this for at least some music. In this example, the song is in D mixolydian, which they include in a note of a very minimal lead sheet. This note used to not be there, and I wonder if they fixed the score/piano sheet.
