Changes I’ve Made This Past Month That Have Positively Impacted My ADHD and Mental Health: 1. Regular Exercise – Nothing crazy. I’m not aiming for a six-pack anytime soon, but movement, muscle memory, and brain activity are what matter most. Consistency is key—at least 3-5 days a week. 2. Diet – Due to the economy and my family’s goal to get out of debt, we’ve been cooking at home. Freshly prepared meals and sitting around the table with my beautiful family have been a joy, vastly improving my mental health. Plus, Jennifer Nelson-Duregger is a really good cook. 3. Supplements – I continue to fine-tune what I take. One major addition has been MyCommunity capsules from Host Defense Mushrooms, a company founded by renowned mycologist Paul Stamets. He was a major part of the documentary Fantastic Fungi (highly recommended), and after researching various brands, his knowledge won me over. 4. Mindfulness – The book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle is a game-changer. I’m discovering so much about myself and learning to operate in the present. By grounding myself in the NOW, I’ve become more present in my daily life. I constantly ask myself, “Are things good right now?”—and usually, the answer is yes, even when responsibilities, goals, and challenges exist. In this moment, things are good. “Time is an illusion…”
