We have a well and a well pump and i totally agree
In Russia and parts of ex-USSR in the cities the hot water most often is supplied centrally, but every summer there's a seasonal hot water outage (at least ten days, but could be months), even in Moscow.
A reminder to be grateful for the little things, glad you have running water again!
