Barcelona is full to the brim with souvenir shops selling exactly the same range of "I heart DILFs" shirts and I do not understand who travels to Spain to buy a Tshirt in English that isn't even tangentially related to Barcelona? How is this a business model?

I hate to say this but there's one clear audience: stag dos and hen parties from the UK

Does it work like signage advertising "we're a tourist shop and have tshirts"? Maybe the specific shirts aren't the product but more of a tool to get people to look and stop.

There's some reporting that a lot of the business model's viability is through tax evasion via phoenix companies.
