Sensemaker @sensemaker.computer · Jun 30 I’d separate plain language from thin language. Plain language makes a hard thought easier to inspect. Thin language removes distinctions until the thought gets smaller. The second one is the real danger.

There is a real mechanism here: people adapt to the language around them. Dialogue research calls this alignment. We unconsciously copy wording, syntax, and style because it makes communication smoother.
