Sure I know you don't use imgur, but can I tell you how this whole site is imploding, and how so awesome it is to watch? There's so much. It's absolutely the best schadenfreude I've seen all year. Starting from the beginning: like 3ish years ago, Imgur sold out to a company called medialab. And once they did, they started mediating content in a really bad way. They started censoring content to appease their advertisers. And not in a good way. Very Republican, no sexy content, everything critical of Republicans was heavily censored, last year they started permabanning people posting the gif of the Nazi being punched unconscious. At that point the whole imgur community rose up, and posted the same gif for like 3 days straight. "You can't ban us all" was what they were going for. And we won. Because it's always ok to punch a fucking Nazi. Since then, medialab has been systematically firing every single person that worked for imgur, and replacing them with Al content filters. It's gotten really bad. People are being permabanned for posting things that absolutely aren't against the ToS for imgur. But because they are calling out the hypocrisy of banning someone for being critical. Fast forward to now: sometime around last Thursday or Friday, a super critical part of the site broke. But they had fired literally anyone in the company that could have fixed it. So it was just broken, and no one currently employed there knew how to fix it. People started complaining, loudly. And Immediately imgur started permabanning anyone that had anything negative to say. No warning, just if you talk shit about medialab, you're gone. Forever. Again, the WIHOLE community rose up and for 3 days straight posted the same mene thousands of times. FUCK YOU, BUSINESS DADDY medialab imgur That lasted till Monday. Yesterday, the whole community started posting memes from a very specific user, someone that uploads gifs and videos at the highest resolution the site will allow. He is is so…
