Arrived in London for the Institute for the Future of Work’s “making the future work” conference. Lord Vallance opening on achieving growth through AI adoption. Making the right noises, little of substance so far.

Oh I’ll be interested to hear more about what’s said at this conference - but it would be great for there to be substance, definitely!

90% of the chat today has been on AI, adoption and productivity, and related issues (esp skills to use AI). But nothing on the changing conditions of work: wellbeing/burnout, our increasingly long and messy careers, (dis)engagement, identity, nature of employment, environment, geopolitics...
