Also, she's not quite like the audience Tsumugi describes in V3, in that she mainlines killing game media out of a desperate, suicidal desire for escape, rather than the boredom of a peaceful world... but it's still very much the same view of the appeal as "gory spectacle and sensationalism". Which is interesting, because Kodaka's always aimed for more than that — all three Danganronpa games have narrative arcs of people pushed to the breaking point, but managing to forge bonds and triumph nonetheless. It's important to him that the player GRIEVES when people die. And Junko and Tsumugi are both ultimately proven wrong in the points they try to make. And as for Uchikoshi?
