Reply on a BGG thread about cozy games: Ok, I know this might sound wild, but often I get into a very cozy feeling when I jumped ahead too far with victory points in Root and accept that im now the prime target, the tables end boss, the one who has to be slapped around. I accept my failure for putting myself into jeopardy, brace for impact and sink into an incredible accepting cozyness. "Bring it, people! I probably deserve it..."
Can you keep politics out of your board game podcast? No lol. The longer answer is that everything is political. When the hat man says he keeps politics out of his reviews, he's really saying that he is comfortable maintaining the current status quo. Politics can be rough and a bummer, but we believe it's healthier to engage with them than not to.
