The common wisdom is that pop culture moves in 30 year retro cycles. In fact this is no longer true. As an increasing number of vibe waves propagate through the system from different origins and are retuned through secondary and tertiary reflections, we begin to see a given carrier wave of 30 year retro modulated by multiple interference patterns as the wave fronts interact. It is therefore reasonable to project that our Footwork revival in 2030 will experience Indie Sleaze modulation on alternating weeks, and two month cycles of Italo Disco to Miami Bass gradients.
