This is a mounting bracket that will let me add a small motor to my canoe. It's an older one designed for Chestnut Canoes, and while my canoe is a Clipper they used the Chestnut molds to make mine. This mount fits perfectly and considering used canoe mounts can cost up to $200, $15 was a steal!

Driving downhill and we can see a clear line on the road that is dry, and the other side is wet from the rain. As we passed that line, we entered a small rain storm. It was a unique experience.

My Weber Kettle is red and I have one side of it layered with charcoal, on the other side is a whole chicken that has been spatchcocked and has two meat skewers through it that will help hold it together while it cooks.

The finished broth after straining the fat out tastes amazing! A beautiful rich brown colour and a great mouthfeel
My broth from the Instant Pot has this fantastic roasty, brown colour and a great depth. The broth from boiling the chicken has the colour you would expect, slightly yellowish.
I'm using a scoop to get all the big pieces of bones, skins, onion peels, etc. out of my Instant pot. Then I ran it through a fine strainer.

Cut my middle finger tip off, yay me! Layer in half of the potatoes, then all of the chicken, then the rest of the potatoes on top.
I'm lucky enough to be able to get the potatoes pre-done. Not having to grate and juice them myself is a huge time saver.

Using up the leftover pineapple skins to make tepache. The skins, some pineapple fruit muddled in my fermentation vessel. Added star anise, allspice berries, and cinnamon. Topped with sugar, and water. It will ferment for about 5 days.
