hi! thank you for opening this alt text! i had to resort to this great text box land due to character limit, because i wanted to give you a proper recount that should serve as an update *and* an exercise of joy and gratitude. thank u for going on w the reading. love ya lots! Bill🕯️x so! the event was indeed a great celebration of everything beautiful we did as a community, and it made me live above emotional heights i’ve never visited in this way. the event was structured as: live performances by trans+ artists, art stalls in which to showcase (and sell for donations) your art, dj set and buffet. i’d spent the morning making pasta all’assassina with the intent of serving it as buffet and got on to finishing some more of these cattini starrini to find home at the stalls. my cattini are glitter eva foam ornaments depicting kitties enclosed in the shape of a star - finished with a blanket stitch and topped with a ribbon and bell. as we got teary for stand-up events, shook up the body for the dj set what happened was i’d spent the whole morning making pasta all’assassina for my great crowd the first emotion was,,, rage and fomo. i got out late cos i took so much to get ready, then i got deserted by the bus not passing when it was due. in the bus i was already shaking with anticipation as i knew i would somehow be the first to speak. yes! cos in the previous day i’d been composing poetry while commuting, with the background noises of the bus + people speaking. a poem about the summer and sea taking away the weight of that part of one’s femininity (that is unlovable because it doesn’t correspond us) came to life. the last verses finished while two inspectors were having a row over working hours. when i got there, i started living anticipation and a faint sense of overwhelming - everything was too much. the jacket, the weight of my stuff i carried, evenness people who rushed to greet me asking where had i been. i took one big breath, ready to go. more next pic!
