Trump says US won't settle with Iran, doesn't want 'Kurds going in' • When asked about his comments on selecting the next leader of Iran, Trump said: "We don't want to come back every five or 10 years and do this... We want to pick a president that's not going to be leading their country into a war." • Trump said the US has "maximum" negotiating leverage, but "we're not looking to settle". • When asked about Iranian allegations that the US hit a desalination plant, he said he knows nothing about it. • Trump said Iran is launching 9 percent of the missiles and drones it sent out in the first two days of the war. "We think it's because they don't have that much. We've knocked out 70 percent of the rocket launchers." • He added, "They're being decimated now. At some point, I don't think there'll be anybody left, maybe, to say 'we surrender'." • Trump also said the US was "not looking to the Kurds going in", and that "we don't want to make the war more complex than it already is”.
