Light Volumes 2.0 will support baked 3D shadows for point and spot lights, and that's how it can be used! Thanks to @pema99.bsky.social for implementing this feature!

will this work with quest worlds?

You can already check this VRChat world here: vrchat.com/home/launch?... Also, Light Volumes 2.0 pre-release version is already available on GitHub, or in VRChat Creator Companion with pre-release packages enabled! github.com/REDSIM/VRCLi...

Are those ray still using volumetric ?🥺 they look so great

I’m not really sure what I’m looking at here. Are the rectangles in the background casting shadows on (blocking the light from) the light volume? Or am I misunderstanding?

This looks fantastic!

Is there a method for converting existing point lights in a scene to point light volumes, or does that need to be done manually?

Can the documentation go into more detail on *how* to use baked shadows in 2.0? In my testing earlier it didn't seem to do anything.
