Is your sim a Goofball by chance? it would make sense if that's the case
I honestly don’t think it’s a book. I think it’s them trying to tell you to do the aspiration. Maybe they have traits that will correspond with the aspiration maybe?
My sims got that too when she chose a creative goal. She is a bookworm / loner / macabre/ muser with no intention of learning comedy. For me the goals seem to be very random so I just get my sim to go to the ghost meeting so I can choose them myself.
