Now that the app is out, I can finally talk about its development 😄 I was honestly surprised that Apple approved the app on the first try, even with the “Name a fair price” IAP screen. It still feels like the sort of thing App Review would push back on. I'm happy they didn’t.

A fun challenge in building Festivitas for iOS is that widgets cannot be animated. Traditional animation APIs simply do not work there. I had to get creative to make it work, and I wanted to do it without using private API, so Apple (hopefully) won’t shut it down just like that.

really amazing they approved it. Congrats Consider adding a reference point such as $4.50 buys me a coffee or $6 buys me a beer or $5 most popular or $2.99 most popular People look for references

Yeah, I'm really shocked they didn't reject that! Maybe they didn't even look at it? But, I do like it and may have to steal it. 😄

I did something similar with a Mac app (HandyPrint) … we offered a trial version and then a ‘pay what you think it is worth’ license. It was a great experience and so impressed how many people paid more than the minimum. Looking to repeat this with a new iOS app called Blossom. How did you do it?
