Cheshire Fire and rescue, alongside colleagues from greater Manchester fire and rescue, were called to reports of a lorry for on Holly Lane in Styal in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 16th July). On arrival, just after 3.30am, crews discovered the lorry was well alight. They used breathing apparatus and hose reels to bring the fire under control. The fire is believed to have been caused by a controlled burn that spread to the lorry.
