This isn't at all comparable in terms of severity but it feels like a less insane version of the 2010 era of Sonic where instead of appealing to people who actually liked it it appeals to people who didn't care for it at the cost of why people liked it to begun with

Mind, I love the game a lot. It's genuinely delightful to play and a lot of the smoother aspects like how snappy it is I think should be how the series is going forward, but this feels like an INSANE course correction in a lot of aspects. I appreciate making combat more engaging with more moves faster but now nothing in the game stands a chance against my basic moveset because EVERYONE can handle any situation instead of building the new encounters around your new moves.

I know I'm bitching but it's because it's SO. CLOSE. ITS SO CLOSE TO BEING GENUINELY PERFECT BUT ALL THE ISSUES ARE /FOR NO REASON/
