Sometimes you build things and eventually let go of those things, but the things are still important to you even though they often become totally different things you no longer influence. I’m getting old and discovering making things creates baggage. Sometimes light, sometimes overweight.

Yeah I can't blame people for cashing out and passing the torch on something like that. I'm sure it's a big burden to maintain and feels nice to move on after all those years. It sure stings though to see what becomes of those projects down the line a lot of the time when they lose their way.

Seems to me that many things that were built for the web as it was even 10 years ago will struggle to remain true to what they were in this bizarre time, and it doesn't feel right but it's not your fault either.
