New Holocene subfossils from the Poissons d'Avril cave in France show conclusive proof of the Cave Centaur ("Centaurus spelaeus"). Authors argue late surviving cave centaurs were origin of centaur myth. Skeleton on display in nearby village of Nullepart-le-Trou. preprint: arxiv.org/pdf/2204.06826

And today’s date is…

It's got 6 legs, so clearly it's an insect.

Here is a genuine question: two hearts and two sets of lungs? I can see where the human heart would be and where the horse heart would be, but I assume two hearts would be better, as a human heart might not be large enough for it, unless the human side had a huge heart and the horse side had lungs.

Funny, except I can imagine lots of ppl glancing at this post and believing it’s absolute proof. The phrase, “seeing is believing” doesn’t account for those who easily fall for fakery.

I bet he was hung like a horse.

APRIL FOOLS! It's a human skeleton spliced onto a zebra skeleton! Centaurs aren't real. "Poisson d'Avril" means April Fools and Nullepart-le-Trou means "Nowhere-the-Hole"

"Nulle Part Le Trou" 😂

Colocation is not causation. Is it possible, 2 skeletons were placed near to each other as to give the impression they were attached when they weren't?

I wish our ancestors hadn't genocided Equus Anthropomorphus Sapiens into extinction. So much Centaur culture was lost. Our species' proliferation owes them a great debt.

igayanodon · Apr 1

Interesting! Did they also find a proof of how it wore its pants?
