In your opinion, what has been the overall impact of the war so far on American interests, at home and abroad? By party identification (An overwhelming majority of independents and Democrats hold negative views of the war. 1/3 of Republicans have similar views.)
Smith: How do you respond to Minnesota farmers who cannot afford the fertilizer they need?  Bessent: The definition of a farmer is someone who owns a farm and farmed the land so as a former farmer I will tell you…. There is no doubt farmers have been struggling but there was a record crop last year and what to record crops lead to? Lower prices.  Smith: I will take that back to my producers in Minnesota, that they have somebody in this department of treasury, a former farmer, who is feeling their pain.

Do not lose hope. This fight is not over. We should all be so proud of the coalition we built to fight this. Tribal Nations. Outdoorsmen. Conservationists. Public lands advocates. But most importantly, Minnesotans who deeply appreciate what these waters mean to us and our shared obligation to safeguard them for our kids, our grandkids, and every generation thereafter.

I believe in protecting public safety and upholding the rule of law. "Operation Metro Surge" is actively undermining both. There has been none of the necessary cooperation and trust between federal officials and local government, and zero transparency from the Trump Administration into ICE's operations in the Twin Cities.
