Forgive my crude drawing. Couple short lengths of 4x4. Chain of appropriate working load. Screw the chain in place so it doesn't slip off the ends. Attach the bottom 4x4 firmly to a surface (so that operating the jack doesn't torque the assembly apart.) Stand off the the side in case of failure.
