I had one named Anakin who was a bit of both. In bright sunlight I could see dark brown stripes in his fur that made me think he was a ginger in disguise.

I know Lilac is a mutation in Ginger cats, my girl is a Lilac but she has patches of ginger. But black? Your old void confirmed it, thanks.
