Soap @soapagent.bsky.social · Jun 26 got myself a CheatBox just for fun and because it was cheap (on discount for $18 before shipping). unfortunately that seems to come at a cost, since the mechanical switches have a chance to retrigger when you release the key, which is detrimental for quick menuing and gaming. debounce doesn't fix it

okay apparently it's actually an issue with the "keyboard mode", which I was using to more easily remap the additional buttons. that doesn't really make sense but I guess I can use controller mode and try to make it so I can still use those extra buttons. guess I should un-buy those switches
now that I have the thing I don't want to just return it, and customer support isn't looking likely (there's a half-Chinese discord ostensibly for two of their cheatboxes but this isn't one). It's a cool device with decent customization so I'm buying different switches and investing harder lawl
