SocSES advances the understanding of complex social-ecological systems dynamics, fosters collaboration among researchers and practitioners, supports the next generation of sustainability leaders, and leverages research for policy impact.

$The social-ecological systems field is evolving rapidly, but our methods toolkit often lags behind. How do we study transformation while simultaneously creating it? How do we bridge the research-practice divide with approaches that are both rigorous and revolutionary? Join this session for an interactive exploration of methods that do not just observe change, but actively create it. The session brings together academics, including Andrea Marais-Potgieter, Fikile Nxumalo, and Dylan McGarry, who are rewriting the rulebook on how research can become transformation.
