Best Story (Undertale): Basic answer, but really there are few games that can compete on both having a good story and utilizing the medium in a way where it can't be told as well otherwise. Favorite Art Style (Darkest Dungeon II): Probably some recency bias, but the striking visuals of each attack given and taken and grotesqueness of the enemies seemed hard to translate to moving 3D from 2D images, but they did it fantastically. Biggest Personal Impact (Xenoblade 3): Still rotate different characters and moments in my mind even now. Have unironically staved off bouts of existential dread by thinking about how Triton worked to effectively embrace death after gaining eternal life because infinite time would still not enable you to reach a 'finality' in your passions. And that dude's an optional side character. Best Combat (Rogue Legacy 2): IDK just a good ass game, got several hundred hours in it because it just feels that clean to play. Fantastic evolution on the first game with a lot more variety. Overhated (Pokémon ZA): Mediocre textures was not enough to explain whatever happened online at launch.
