Oh! My favorite anecdote from reporting is Ryan Speedo Green, who sang Crown in Porgy with Denyce, telling me about meeting her after seeing Carmen on a high school trip. It's THEE moment he decides he wants to be an opera singer. She hugged that teenager, called him her boo. Speedo was smitten!
