I love an emotionally plugged in cat. One of mine can tell when I'm upset and just comes running to snuggle
With teletherapy I do not get a couch, but my therapist has a couch, and a very large dog who lies on the couch with his paws crossed through the session. It is every bit as good as my lying down on that couch myself.
He must sense your emotional... Well not distress per se but I assume you're digging deep.

He doesn't let me have anything to myself, certainly not the bathroom. And sits up and waits for me when I leave and then eyeballs me when I get home like I'm a teenager missing curfew! The nerve of this man!
