Funny thing, isn’t it? Floating. My mind feels like it’s been floating for a long time. Caught between the stepping-stones, not sure if I’m falling back to the one behind or leaning forward to the next, unsure if I can bridge the gap. The tensing of my body before I take a leap. Standing on the edge of the stone, arms outstretched, pale eyes pointed at the sky, wind in my hair, rain driving over my skin – weightless, like a bird.
