Sakurai saying, "The background story for the Airtopia Ruins is that there was once a king who lived in the sky and was brought to ruin through his hubris. It isn't a tourist attraction, so lightheartedness doesn't quite mesh with it. I wanted a Middle Ages orchestral style for the base that better depicted a fallen kingdom. That's why the final version of Airtopia Ruins feels more sad and empty than anything."

Everything is still super fun, but the more I play, the more I'm shocked how much more City Trial specifically would benefit from further customization. More flexible time, choosing which Legendary Machines are in play, filtering Field Events, etc. Not to mention online is fixed at standard rules no matter what. Really hope there's an update for that kinda stuff.

Me saying, "Really pisses me off that not even Toby Fox posts identically on Twitter and Bluesky. This has nothing to do with the new post; it's just something I've been thinking about for a while. Like. Look at ALL of the stuff he exclusively put on Twitter when Chapters 3 and 4 came out. The new post is honestly a really good example of the opposite because in general he's a lot less formal on Bluesky with the stuff he puts in both places. It feels more fun."
Me saying, "If you're supposed to have the Knight's Shadow Crystal and Black Shard available to pick up in the Castle Town hole, that won't happen if you have the Blue Ribbon in your inventory. This is because in Chapters 1 and 2, the Crystal bosses had both a Weapon and Armour you could get from them, so the code made the Castle Town hole work by giving both of them the same ID number. If you're supposed to have the Shadow Crystal, but you don't have any equipment with that number, the game put the appropriate stuff in the hole. Chapters 3 and 4 ONLY have their Crystal bosses give a Weapon, but they forgot to change how the code works in any way, and the Blue Ribbon HAPPENS to be the Armour that shares the ID of the Black Shard. So... the game is gonna assume you already have the Crystal and not bother giving it to you. What's worse is that this bug seemingly causes the Blue Ribbon to not be sell-able at any shops, meaning the only way to get rid of it is to drop the Ball of Junk, getting rid of ALL equipment you don't have equipped and every single Item in your pockets and Storage. You can get the Crystal boss stuff back from the hole right away, coincidentally, but still, It's insane."

Me saying, "I don't have much to say about the second sentence. Don't really agree with the conclusion though. About the Jevilstail... so... I gotta be honest. I truly do believe Toby retconned this later. Jevil was originally supposed to even be a Recruit, which, based on the description, would only have been possible if you got the Devilsknife. I'm pretty sure Toby realized rewarding violent players and not pacifist players in this way was a bad idea and made it not matter in future chapters.
