Trying to keep up with Enzo the Border Collie since 2020. Let's build community here together. She/her

A small flower and peace sign in the top corners are meant to be examples of nice things. I use a dry erase board, which people have said is so clever, and I guess it is, but it really came about because I was in Staples last year before the first rally and couldn't find the poster board and it was lunch time and I was hangry and saw the dry erase boards and said, "Say - that's an even better option!"

The night sky out our window in a pretty urban area, but with the help of a 3-second exposure, the sky has a greenish tinge at the horizon and brilliant fuchsia streaks above. It was also visible without the camera.

Enzo the black and white border collie gamely posing before a massive downed tree and all its branches. The tree is somewhat elevated off the ground, so between its circumference and height off the ground, it comes up over Enzo's shoulders. He made it over all the trunks and branches pretty easily; I took a little longer.

This is my sign. It reads: Revolution 2.0. Fully crowd-sourced. Major bug fixes. Cookies you can eat. And on the bottom, in smaller print: People Power, Inc., Right On. It's on a whiteboard, an idea I accidentally came up with when I couldn't find the posterboard at Staples. It's very lightweight, and you can change your sign up for the occasion!

The first draft in my head said, "And I said fuck that shit," but I went for the doggerel. A big colorfully painted bowl of steel-cut oats, cooked with kale and fancy mushrooms, dotted with goat cheese. A tiny plastic Eeyore, a cereal-box prize from the 60s, is perched on the rim. Coffee in a Jackson Pollock mug makes it a complete breakfast.

A wide, shallow bowl with a boneless chicken thigh in a tomato-rich sauce containing onions, carrots, mushrooms, garlic scapes, and saffron malloreddus from Sfoglini Pasta. The pasta shape is similar to gnocchi. The whole thing is seasoned with Penzeys Ethiopian-Style Pepper Blend, which is VERY cayenne-forward and has a rich blend of cumin, fenugreek, cardamom, cinnamon, and other spices. Really amazing. A glass of red wine accompanies this dish, and, as always, my 60s-era plastic Eeyore cereal box toy looks on.

This photo was taken back in June. It shows a wall of prickly wild black raspberries taking up the whole picture, with many, many raspberries that are still green with some just starting to show red.

15 or so English muffins on a cooling rack. They are lightly browned, fresh off the griddle. Part whole-wheat, they are hearty, though they still have nooks and crannies (not visible) and smell amazing (you'll have to take my word).
