Recently became a proud father of 3 new ones--a sopranino and a tenor recorder, but also a new alto recorder. When I was buying the first two, noticed Aulos makes a slightly higher grade 709BW... and the sound is noticeably better--more rounded and well-defined... definitely a nice step-up ^^
