Doodle comic of my black lab mix dog, Bella. She at first is sniffing something, and seems relaxed. Nothing unusual. Then, she hears a noise and instantly stops sniffing. Without moving her head, her eyes widen and swivel in the direction of the noise, with her ears perked up. Since she is an older dog, her face is mottled white and she has grey “eyebrows” that raise in an expressive way.

when I feel like I’ve hit a wall (both in art and writing), I “research.” I watch and read things adjacent to my work or entirely new. I work on master copies of pieces from artists I really like. I think it’s easy to be afraid of being derivative or doing what someone already has done, but the truth is 1) Nothing is truly Original and 2) I think you can do the same thing that has been done before in a new way because no one else is you and no two people have the same exact ideas or experiences.

His green pants are from the hospital gown-like outfit he has, and he wears no shoes. A bunch of gory mutated arms emerge from around his back. His unmutated right arm holds a bloodied hammer. Splatters of blood smatter his hands and gas mask.
