“ 1001. I expressed this sentiment to Keith EDMONDSON and Bob LAMBERT sometime towards the end of my deployment. Brian DOUGLAS had been killed in Kennington not long after Wayne DOUGLAS had been killed in Brixton. These events caused a number of demonstrations in the area. As I have stated, I was tasked to provide any intelligence to help out with the demonstrations. My response to this tasking was to tell Keith and Bob to go back and tell the police to ‘stop fucking killing black people’. “…I am aware the binder was updated by Andy COLES sometime while I was deployed in the field…I never read anything in the binder I saw that was as jarring as what I read in the COLES update. There are a whole series of nasty comments that were never contained within the version we had at the time I was in the back office. For example, references to carrying out research to establish "the respiratory status" of relatives of the deceased child whose identity one was stealing; and an assertion that SDS officers assumed ‘squatter' s rights’ over a deceased person's identity. I believe some of the language used, in particular the condescending comments, are more reflective of Andy COLES himself than the SDS; they are his opinions.
