A bloody expanse of plastcrete tiles upon which rests the corpse of a pallid batrachian behemoth, an engineered life form slain by human hunters of the megastructure. Left unattended it was quickly swarmed by squirming worm-like scavengers, only for those same scavengers to be promptly dispatched by the cleaner drones that I embarked with (the yellow 'o's)

A sprawling warring of metal corridors grown by rogue nanites and fabricator machines burrowing into the crust of the earth. The gray blocks are walls, the '+' icons metal flooring. The faint sickly yellow of bioluminescent slime mold illuminates the halls, and pale white squirming things wander through the dark. Worse things, too, but they're not in view. Not yet, anyway. Some parts of it are flooded, marked by the blue blotches on the left, and who knows what might be in there.

It's safer to be here when you're thinking in terms of invasions, sure. Rival city states and arcologies tend to stick to the surface, but they do that for a good reason. People go missing in the depths.
