This picture, for instance; it was originally shot on film so not the BEST example but I took 3 stabs at it (all on mobile). First one is the original overexposed shot, then the first edit, then the last edit. The last edit still feels washed out but maybe truer to the Winter colours we saw that day

All three of these images, with different filtering effects, creates its own mood. It's up to you to decide which look you like the best (for me, the blue filter gives the best impression of a cool winter day). I usually do some post processing with my photos but not always.
