Text from wikipedia's page on advaita philosophy (not that it ia authoritative) - "The Advaita vedanta tradition modifies the Samkhya-dualism between Purusha (pure awareness or consciousness) and Prakriti ('nature', which includes matter but also cognition and emotion) as the two equal basic principles of existence. It proposes instead that Atman/Brahman (awareness, purusha) alone is ultimately real and, though unchanging, is the cause and origin of the transient phenomenal world (prakriti). In this view, the jivatman or individual self is a mere reflection or limitation of singular Ātman in a multitude of apparent individual bodies. It regards the material world as an illusory appearance (maya) or "an unreal manifestation (vivarta) of Brahman", the latter as proposed by the 13th-century scholar Prakasatman of the Vivarana school."

The platform does not explain. Your account remains, but you notice that posts on similar topics no longer appear publicly. You have not been charged with any offence. No court has issued an order. Yet something has quietly shifted. This is not a far-fetched scenario. It is a plausible outcome under the draft amendments to India's Information Technology Rules released by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on March 30, 2026. Presented as technical clarifications, the changes mark a deeper transformation in how speech is governed online and who gets to decide its limits. Core area of concern At the centre of concern is a proposed expansion of executive power that risks bypassing Parliament and the courts. One provision, Rule 3(4), would require platforms to comply with a wide array of government-issued instruments, including advisories, directions and standard operating procedures, as a condition for retaining "safe harbour" protection under Section 79 of the IT Act. In plain terms, platforms would be legally safer if they follow government instructions, even when those instructions do not arise from formal law. This sits uneasily with the Supreme Court of India's landmark ruling in Shreya Singhal vs Union of India (2015), which held that platforms are only required to act on unlawful content when they receive a court order or a government notification grounded in law. By allowing informal directives to trigger compliance obligations, the draft rules appear to dilute that constitutional safeguard. Article 326 provides for adult suffrage, and re-quires that a person should be 18 years old, an Indian citizen, and not disquali-fied by law to be entitled to register as a voter. "These are essential conditions. The fulfilment of these conditions is a continuous requirement. You cannot say once my name is entered, whether I lose eligibility or not, I am entitled to stay on in the electoral roll," senior advo-cate Maninder Singh, for the EC, submitted before a Bench headed by Chief Jus-tice of India Surya Kant. The Bench was hearing a batch of petitions chal-lenging the constitutionali-ty of the SIR exercise con-ducted in Bihar. "The SIR is a verification exercise," Mr. Singh argued. Senior advocate Dama Seshadhiri Naidu, also ap-pearing for the EC, said the SIR was not a determina tion of citizenship. "An ex-ercise to verify citizenship is different from a process determining citizenship," he said. A. Rule of Law There has been much written lately about how the rule of law has broken down among celebrated democracies. The rule of law is loosely described as a set of predictable, transparent practices embedded in legal practices that constrain the arbitrary use of state power. When Al systems replace these practices, they undermine the object of democratic legal institutions, which is to promote the rule of law for a just and peaceful society. Predictability and transparency are crucial for accountability, which renders legitimate the legal institutions and the force they wield, For example, the black-letter prohibition of vague laws serves these purposes; we should know the meaning and scope of the rules we must follow if we are to be punished under them. Rule of law institutions contain hierarchical structures and varying forms of expertise as examples, juries and an independent judiciary with appellate review-to assure conformity

Palestinian composer and writer Nahed Elrayes's remix of Gaza-based music teacher Ahmed Muin Abu Amaha's haunting 'Drone Song, released on October 2, has struck a deep chord much like the original. Nahed had earlier explored a similar theme of love, loss and resilience in 'A Lover from Palestine, a Mahmoud Darwish-inspired composition that evolved into a large video project featuring 45 Palestinians and won international acclaim. His remix intensifies the portrayal of the drone sounds that have become a grim part of daily life for children in Gaza. In a region scarred by violence, this song is more than a sonic experience -it's a testament to how art can stand witness, evoke empathy and help heal. The Drone Song' took shape in a classroom in Gaza. Ahmed noticed his students becoming increasingly distressed. They constantly complained of headache and anxiety triggered by the unceasing hum of Israeli military drones, which, according to the teacher, "is the baddest sound in this war". When the children requested that lessons be stopped, Ahmed came up with an alternative. He told them to sing along with the sound. This act of creative defiance-turning the drone's oppressive buzz into a haunting chorus has captured global attention as videos of the performances have been widely shared on social media platforms.
Goel and Grafman (2000) describe a patient, P.F., who suffered damage to his right anterior prefrontal cortex as the result of a stroke. Like many patients with damage to the prefrontal cortex, P.F. appears normal and even intelligent, scoring appearances of normality, P.F. shows profound intellectual deficits. He had been a in the superior range on an intelligence test. Nonetheless, despite these surface successful architect before his stroke but was forced to retire because he had lost his ability to design; he was then only able to find work as a draftsman. As part of their study, Goel and Grafman gave P.F. a problem that involved redesigning their laboratory space. Although he was able to speak coherently about the problem, he was unable to make any real progress on the solution (a comparably trained archi-tect without brain damage achieved a good solution in a couple of hours). It seems that the stroke affected only P.F's most highly developed intellectual abilities.
